Who we are
A customs partner, not just a supplier.
Customs does not forgive detail. A wrong tariff classification, a missing certificate of origin or a badly applied Incoterm quickly turn into held cargo, storage costs and missed delivery dates.
We have worked in Lisbon since 1960, first on paper files and today on electronic declarations. What has not changed is the essential part: making sure your cargo enters and leaves the country correctly, predictably and at the lowest cost the law allows.

Why us
What changes when you work with a licensed broker
No cargo left standing
We flag missing documents before your cargo arrives. The declaration goes out the same day, not the following week.
Predictable costs
You get the estimate of duties, VAT and charges before you decide. Nothing appears on the invoice without having been explained.
Correct classification
The tariff heading decides what you pay. We check every code so you neither overpay duty nor expose yourself to penalties.
Talk to us directly
You speak on the phone to the person handling your file. No call centres, no ticket systems, no waiting days for an email.
National coverage
We operate at every customs office in the country, by sea, air, road and rail.
Professional liability
A licensed broker is professionally answerable for what they declare. That is the difference from an intermediary with no such standing.

How we work
Five steps, no grey areas
You always know which stage your file is at and what comes next.
Framing
We listen to the operation: what the goods are, where they come from, which Incoterm they were bought under and when you need them. We identify upfront the requirements that typically delay this kind of file.
List of required documents
Estimate
We provisionally classify the goods and calculate the duties, VAT and foreseeable charges. You get a figure before making any commitment to us.
Written cost estimate
Document preparation
We check invoices, packing lists, certificates and licences. When something is missing we ask your supplier in time to fix it before the cargo arrives.
Checked and complete file
Clearance
We file the customs declaration and follow the control channel assigned. If there is a physical or documentary inspection, we attend and respond to the customs office.
Declaration filed and followed
Release and archive
The goods are released and we hand over the complete documentary file, ready for archiving and for any future inspection.

Sectors
Your industry. Our expertise.
Every sector has its own licensing, labelling and control rules. We work with the ones that apply to your product.
Textiles, Footwear and Accessories
Demanding origin rules, quotas and intellectual property controls. The declared composition has to match the actual product.
Food and Beverage
Health and plant health controls, export certificates from the country of origin and Portuguese labelling. Tight deadlines because of shelf life.
Industrial and Equipment
CE marking, declarations of conformity and classification of parts and components that rarely fit under a single tariff heading.
Automotive and Tyres
Type approval, vehicle tax, registration paperwork and specific rules for parts and used vehicles.
Technology and Electronics
Dual use controls, radio equipment certification and electrical and electronic waste obligations.
Retail and Consumer Goods
High volumes, many references and campaign deadlines. Clearance efficiency is measured in shelf days gained.
Healthcare and Medical Devices
Registration with the Portuguese medicines authority, device certification and cold chain where applicable. No margin for documentary error.
Chemicals and Dangerous Goods
ADR and IMDG classification, safety data sheets and prior authorisations. Documentation checked before shipment.

Questions
Questions we are asked every week
A licensed customs broker represents your company before the Portuguese Tax and Customs Authority. They classify the goods, calculate the duties and VAT owed, file the customs declaration and are professionally answerable for the content of that declaration. It is a regulated profession carrying its own liability, which is what sets it apart from a purely logistical intermediary.
